Minecraft Snapshot 12w42a released, repeater locks added early

This week Mojang gave us the weekly snapshot a day early, which introduces some cool new gizmos. This week brings us changes to last week's Anvil block, mostly visual changes but it is also cheaper to make. The Redstone repeater locks we discussed yesterday have come much earlier than expected, and breaking a few adventure maps along the way. The halloween-themed mob, the Bat, no longer triggers pressure plates or mess up your wheat. You can now choose to hide a server's IP adress in the Multiplayer menu. If your main language is not English, you might be happy to know that the language files have been updated. Get all the info and the download at the source link below.

You know what they should do? player-only chests. So only the player who made it can open it...

Most servers that arn't hardcore have plugins that let player lock chests. Do /help on a server to see if they have a plugin for it.

What's the point of hiding a server's ip address? That doesn't make much sense to me...

I'm not sure either, but at least there is an option. A pointless one, but none the less...

Streamers who play on private servers might not want their audiances to know the server's IP.
