Maps can be tiled on walls!

Dinnerbone revealed in a tweet that maps will have the ability to be posted on walls without the use of item frames.
With this feature maps can be tiled on walls or possibly on tables and other flat surfaces. They probably will have a mounting mechanic similar to paintings.

Some people love the new decor features being added to minecraft recently, but what is your opinion? Let us know in the comments below!

It would be cool if you could expand how big the map will be by holding down right click and dragging.

As I was reading this, I thought the same thing. I also think this would be cool for maybe choosing which painting you want.

i really like all of the aesthetic things that they are adding lately, i am an old player, played sense alpha, and minecraft has been through some bad times, but i like this next update. adds a layer of depth to the game.

I've been an alpha player too, but minecraft has never really went deeply down hill. I love the new updates!

Its not like painting and might not be able to go on tables cuz you use item frames to hang them on walls -_-

I don't think there will be one this week, the entire Mojang team has been in Japan recently.
