They wrote on their company blog, "That’s a surprise, eh?* Anyway, now it’s 100% official. Minecraft is launching on Nintendo’s Wii U console on December 17th. It’ll cost $29:99 or equivalent, will be available to download on the eShop, and comes bundled with six of our most popular add-on packs. There’s even a Festive mash-up included just in time for the holidays." This lines up with the recently-released Holiday Pack for Xbox One, which also includes a number of popular DLC.
Moajang said they will have more to share in the coming days, but they did confirm off-TV play using the Wii U's Gamepad. As previously leaked, the game will have a PEGI rating of 7+ and an ESRB rating of 10+.

ReplyOne time someone said action/violence because he was holding a pickaxe....
ReplyAlso, I think it's pretty awesome to have off screen play. Just like pocket edition. (Sorta)
